Phu Quoc Island VietNam

Visitors to Phu Quoc Island VietNam often wonder why it doesn’t get as much press attention as those islands over in Thailand. With rugged jungle, squeaking white sands and sparkling cobalt waters, it can more than match them. The reason is that this star attraction is still left intact by tourism developers. If package mass tourism isn’t your bag, Phu Quoc as a sleepy retreat can’t be a better choice.

The amazing island has something for every one. With a motorbike and a map, there’s loads of exploring things to do here. Phu Quoc is ringed by some great beaches, most notable of which are Bai Truong Beach, Bai Sao Beach and Ong Lang Beach. They are all blessed with fine pale sands that stretch for kilometers with overhanging palms, turquoise water and a semi-abandoned feel. Activities come in man forms here, from sea kayaking its quiet inlets, scuba diving the coral reefs or simply having a bang-up seafood meal followed by a cocktail on the beach.
Aside from its picture-perfect beaches, Phu Quoc is known for a few other minor points of interest which are worth peeling yourself off the beach for. Before tourism, Phu Quoc is actually renowned for its high-quality fish sauce and pepper. There are fish sauce factories dotted through Duong Dong town and pepper farms in the center of the island, all of them are intriguing places to explore the local life. Another worth attraction is the pearl farm, which sits about a third of the way down the length of Bai Truong Beach. The farm includes a cool educational display about manmade pearl cultivation along with the opportunity to spend a few motza on a set of earrings.
Simply a splendid tropical getaway set, Phu Quoc amazingly remains unspoilt by development. It is no wonder why Phu Quoc’s beachwere voted “The Cleanest and Most Beautiful Beach of the World” by ABC News.
